Sounds of Eighty Six, Volume 9

Welcome back! Firstly, apologies as it's been a month since we could make it down to the studio. Many, many thanks to all those who came along to Eighty Six at the Beagle. It was the first time we've put on an event with live bands and it really was a great day out.

We kicked off with J-Walk, playing their first live gig together for 11 years' and sounding fantastic. Followed up by Shawn Lee, who was amazing and seeing him play 'San Diego', 'Happiness' and 'Wichita Lineman' is something that will live long in the memory.  However, it really wouldn't have happened without the hard work and vision of Jeff. He played a blinder, sorting it all out and working alongside Duncan and the team at the Beagle to make it our best Eighty Six yet.

Tonight's show was brought to you by Jif and TC. Look out for new music from Max Essa on the ever reliable Aficionado record label. Volume 2 of Mark Barrott's Sketches From An Island project and a track from the new Blasé EP. We've also got some summer favourites from deep in our record bags.

Enjoy the show and we promise not to leave it so long next time!
