Unity Radio 92.8 FM

After a lot of hard work behind the scenes Manchester's Unity Radio has been granted a licence. The station will go live on 92.8 FM. Tagged 'Manchester's Finest Underground Music Station' Unity will be broadcasting live across the city and its surrounding areas later this summer.

We'd like to send our warmest congratulations to Greeny, Jules, Tom and all the team who have worked tirelessly towards this. It's a tremendous achievement for a station that not that long ago was a pirate transmitting from a tower block.

As part of the build up for the FM launch; Jif and I went down to Unity Studio last night to record some promo voice overs and a theme tune for our show. Even though we've been on Unity for three years, we still don't really see ourselves as proper radio DJ's. What we thought was going to be a pretty daunting experience turned out really well.

We took a few tracks in and had a play around talking over them in the sound booth. Once we have the mastered version we'll post it up. We settled on using this as our opening/ backing theme.
