Summer Nights

We’ve got some great Eighty Six Summer parties lined up at Jam Street over the coming months.

First up on Friday the 4th June we’re joined by Paul ‘Mudd‘ Murphy and Jan Hammered. This is real honour for us as we love Paul’s productions as Mudd and part of Bison, Smith & Mudd and Mudd & Pollard. He set up the Claremont 56 record label to release music that was lovingly crafted, geniunely felt and didn’t aim for the next big trend and we think he's certainly achieved this.

Claremont 56 tracks get played a huge amount both down at Jam Street and on our radio show. Paul is fine DJ too and we’re really looking forward to having him down. He'll be joined by our good friend Jan Hammered who makes a welcome return to Jam Street. Jan plays alongside Balearic Mike at Night Music (which is also in Chorlton) and Estrellas at Folk in West Didsbury. You can catch both them at the Trip Festival on Anglesey, 28-30th May and also at Folk Ibiza 22-26th July.

Our second summer party on Friday 2nd July sees us celebrate our 3rd birthday party in fine style (it only seems like 5 minutes since we started all this). We’re joined by Aficionado’s Moonboots. It's great to have him join us again, we’ll crack open a Lime & Soda and get some Cheese cake in just for him.

Finishing off our summer parties on Friday 6th August we’re spending an evening in the company of Planty. You may have caught him playing on our radio show a couple of months ago (available on the blog). Planty’s got an amazing record collection and it’s always a pleasure to hear him play out. In fact we think he should play out more often so here’s you’re chance to catch him.

As ever all this takes place in the relaxed surroundings of the Jam St café bar on Upper Chorlton Road. Entry is free and we start from around 8. We’d like to thank Gaea, Kevin, Helen, Matt and all the Jam St staff for looking after us so well over the last 3 years and making us feel so at home.

We'd also like to thank our good friend Tom Clarke for all the lovely artwork he's produced for us. I'm sure you'll agree this latest poster and flyer is stunning. Cheers Tom.
